"What is your "meaning" or hope that gets you out of bed every morning?"

I'm sorry, Kenyon. I cannot change what life is. I can only pass on expert opinions and definitions. Here is a definition which you may enjoy more. It uses a system of pulleys rotated by one of them newfangled fan belts they put on cars these days:

As to why my posting definitions should somehow relate to what I hope for in the mornings, well...I fail to make any connection. Your point is beyond obscure...but I will answer your question anyway.

Generally, I continue to get up in the morning because I continue to have an appetite:: for food, for sex, for affection, for accomplishment, for learning; in short--for life.

I hope that each day brings health and happiness to friends and family. I hope for pleasant company, good relations, and fulfillment in work, play, and personal projects.

If my stocks gain ten dollars and my penny stocks gain one, then all the better. If I get accused of a brilliant idea, or am fortunate enough to have one--even more the better. But best if I should just get a few kisses, and know that I have deserved them in some small way.

And if I am thus able to send the world around one more time, then I am happy to have done so.

And how about you? Why do you get up in the morning?
