Interesting article. I know one thing, the US and the Soviets were facing each other in a nuclear standoff for generations, and the only time there was an immediate danger of a major – direct – conflict, was during the Cuban crisis. On the other hand, recently, when some Pakistani terrorists opened gunfire near the Indian Parliament, right away all over the place there was hot talk about using nukes. There was not much talk about conventional fighting, they go straight to the real thing…

With all this endless talk about the Arabs and Israel, it is easy to forget that it is only a part of a larger worldwide buildup of tension.

I would be more concerned about Al Queda folks out of the control of the Pakistani government.

Generally, I do not think India will attack over 20 militants.
