Even at parochial schools, educating a child costs in the range of $5,000 per year. In that case, part of the cost is covered by donations, part by unpaid labor. In private schools the cost can go above $12,000, part paid by parents but part by donations, part by endowments.

I have clients who are incapable of paying $5,000 a year to educate each of their children, even if they had he best intentions.

Should those children go without educations? Or should they have educations, and if so how are those to be provided, and who is to pay for them? It's a very basic question, and one that libertarians, if we intend to be taken seriously as a political philosophy, not dismissed as so unrealistic as to be dismissable without qualm, must be prepared to address.
