Hed, Shalom.

You see Hed, I do not see the Israeli/Palestinian problem as being a Jews/Muslims problem. (The two sides exploited their religion to gain sympathy and public opinion.)

If we take religion out of the equation, we will find that two people are willing to recognize each other as equals, coexist, live in peace and prosper. Now, that sound so simple and naïve, but just think about it for a minute. Mothers, on both sides, don't want to see their children die anymore. People, on both sides, want to live no one wants to die anymore. Believe me, I lived 17 years in a civil war and I know that people were sick and tired of the fighting, the killing and lack of security. It was all due to politics and religion. The politicians had nothing to loose, they waged a war in the name of religion. The only losers in the equation were the innocent people. If look deep down into Israeli and Palestinian people, you will find that they are longing to live peacefully. Forget what you see on TV. What you see on TV is politics and does not reflect your average Joe wants.

Regards,

Abdul

TEL AVIV (Reuters) - Tens of thousands of left-wing Israelis rallied on Saturday night to call for an Israeli withdrawal from Palestinian territories in what organizers said was the biggest peace demonstration for 20 years. Police estimated the crowd at about 50,000. Peace Now put the figure at above 100,000, calling it the biggest peace rally since some 200,000 people turned out in 1982 to call for an Israeli military pullout from Lebanon. >> full press release story.news.yahoo.com
