I'm not offering any optimistic solution. All I see is more of the same which means even more bullshit.

As investors we have very little choice ---
a. we can take a bet on pieces of paper which, in the main, are grossly overvalued and which return virtually nothing. We also know that the "powers that be" will do their utmost to keep those pieces of paper valued as high as possible because the whole house of cards depends on it.
b. we can hold paper money or paper money instruments which also return virtually nothing
c. we can own "hard assets" inc property, gold/stocks etc, which I imagine, most people on this forum attempt to do.

And, of course, it doesn't help to worry because we can't do anything about anything anyway. So, while it lasts, and it may last forever, we might as well keep up a cheerful disposition.
