Absolutely wrong Michael, every economist to a man will agree that deflation is the worst of economic scenarios, it causes massive destruction of capital and assets and cannot be treated. Interest rates are now near zero, so they have no where to go, that is foreboding for it should cause inflation, deflation is what caused the great depression and unless you want another great depression you better hope for modest inflation. Anyway the Bush Adminstration has mortgaged the future again in 16 short months, sp much for trickle down (make that unemployment) economics.
