Many of the big retailers are already stocking eMachines as an alternative. Another wildcard could be Gateway. Their own retail store intiative appears to have flopped. The may still have stores, but all the ones near me are gone. I would not be surprised if some larger retailer convinced them to do some kind of a joint-venture, with the retailer either stocking pre-configured boxes, or allowing people to order Gateway brand through their stores. Gateway does definitely need to do something and this may provide them an option. (Though I suspect they won't last long even under a very optimistic scenario.) Michael
