I myself find the Net a compelling source of info and in some cases entertainment I can't anywhere else: Such as this link:
virtuetv.com

Years ago, before the WWW-Net someone wanted to offer on demand movies through the telephone lines to I assume a set top box (?) and onto a TV screen. It didn't come about at the time. Then the Net hit in 1995 and aside from the tech Naz crash the Net is still developing.

The biz model I think that could offer sound profits would be broadband content delivery of everything from movies, voice and data transfer, security monitoring, National self defense systems (personal IDs, etc via a system much like UPS scanning all on the drivers ID or perhaps a personal ID card, etc.

Thanks
