Lessson coming up. As you will see, it's not simple in theory although, in use, it is.

What I do when I have the chance to vary the parameters is to change them by trial-and-error so that, historically, the cycles coincide as as closely as possible with the major price movements. (I am not interested in daily volatility) Then I know that that "tuning" is correct for the data distribution I am working with and, this is more important, it is correct for what I am looking for which is usually the longest and slowest movement.
