Strangely enough, that one madman would not even kill a deer in a hunt, he did not dirty his hands. There were, however, many millions of Germans that did not oppose the madman and completely accepted his "Mein Kampf" and his "Final Solution" to the "Jewish Question in Europe". Yes, there was a minority of German that would not bend their back to the Nazi dictatorship, many of them, considered, of course, "traitors" (my own father included) did not survive. One group actually saved my own aunt and cousin (well, he was only "half Jewish", his mother, my aunt, married a Christian long before the war, the Nazi were, however still after him as "unpure". He is still around, and I hope to go to his son's wedding this summer), another group managed to get my mother and my two older brothers out of Germany late in 1937, maybe early 1938 to meet my father in Holland, after his release from Spain. Others, however like Von Karajan, Strauss, Heisenberg (I choose to single these three out, since their cultural statute was such that their voice could have been heard above the shrilling crowds drunk with virulent antisemitism) were silent, and as Bush said, if you are not with us, you are against us.
