exp, check out the double bottom in March and April 2001 on that chart. That may be pointing the way right now. The first bottom was on March 22, if memory serves, and the 2nd bottom April 4th. I think it takes a bit longer this time, but I think it bears watching.

EXP: And if you compare the small and mid cap charts with those of the big caps keeping the BPNDX and BPCOMPQ in mind, it is hard to imagine that the small and mids will make new lows in the immediate future. There is a lot of fat to work off and that would take time absent a crash event. And if you believe in new lows on every equity index for some kind of bottom be it the short term or some kind of cyclical bottom, this thing could take some time.
