OT Ha! You are such babies. My first board was a Velzy and Jacobs balsa 8'2". I weighed about 65 lbs at the time and the board was heavy enough that if there had been leashes then they would have torn your legs off. -g- 1960. No wetsuit for my first 6-7 years. All they had were divers suits that you couldn't move around in. Currently have a nice 9'3" custom shaped by a friend here in HB, but medical considerations have kept me from surfing and hangliding for the past couple of years. -nfg- It's a bitch getting old!
