Dear Ish: I knew little about it until I saw his speech this morning. It certainly APPEARS there is a lot in there for the little guy. Course, to be honest, I am not that much in favor of all this socialism. What Bush REALLY needs in my judgement to cure the farm problem is a free hand to structure foreign trade bills. We are after all the best agricultural nation in the WORLD (ie most efficient). Break down the trade barriers overseas and our farmers can feed the world and get rich doing it, with no govt help at all. JDN

Just what I heard from commentators on the news this morning. Some money goes to small farmers, but most of it goes to large concerns. Personally, I don't care, I don't think any of them should be subsidised at my expense.
