Russ:

I have little doubt that the feasibility study will be a fair assesment of the deposit. However " manana " is still the word. BGI has hired two independent experts to review the study, they can't do that in less than a month. Next, any actual cash payment is dependent on the issuance of a mining permit which is dependent on an environmental impact statement which as the NR says "...should be completed in the next few months.", in BGI's Jan 28 2002 NR they had received permission to undertake the environmental study. So four months later we can only hope it is done in "the next few months". Although all is progressing well, it is still agonizingly slow! My one concern remains that ASL may go under on their hedge book before we receive payment if POG rockets. Cheers Ogi

I talked to Denis and he said that they will not give any precise numbers until:

1) they get the report back from their engineers

2) Both BGI and Ashanti agree to a number
