Just think about it this way Larry...

If you didn't post a market order, they have no obligation to fill it.

And if they didn't fill it, that must mean they didn't have any financial incentive to do so...

And if a market maker doesn't have the financial incentive to sell you his stock (dump it on the public), then he suspects he's going to be able to sell it to someone else later at a higher price.

Which means he'll bide his time and keep the price low artificially in order to shake out frustrated shareholders who are tired of waiting.

Bottom line... if you want the stock, you'll likely have to boost your limit price, or buy at market.

Just my opinion...
