There will be little or no corn from this part of the belt this summer. Most of the fields are underwater. We've had over 10 inches of rain in the past 8 days alone at my house. Been like a friggin' rain forest. <ng>

There's still plenty of time to plant beans though. The corn farmers will probably all plant beans this year- So beans may be in oversupply, and not do as well price wise, unless of course, it keeps raining like this for another few weeks.

I'm itching to get my late garden items in the ground, but it won't be dry enough to even do that for another week at least..
