Seems AMAT KLAC NVLS all go up on the rumor, up on the news, and every one of them is stealing market share from god knows who

only when I'm short, which is frequently. -g-

The big news tomorrow is AMAT

I am almost positive that they will even more upbeat than Chambers of Cisco. They are probably the best of the bunch in their sector as well.

They just don't have real Asian competition. Any uptick in semiconductor activity anywhere in the world, and these guys benefit. Expansion in China, guess who gets the equipment business?
The problem with this industry is not about a rebound; it has to do more with valuations.

Should have anticipated the run up to AMAT earnings.<ng>
Companies like AMAT don't do stocks splits in this environment unless they were very bullish. I guess if enough traders are playing this run up, may be we can get a drop ahead of the earnings..who knows.

jmho.

Morgan is a master spinster.. Look for him to emphasize how the chip market is growing from XX billion to XXX billion in 20 years and how AMAT is poised to be the leader in supplying the equipment that make those chips.. least thats what hed been doing for the past 2 years since this downturn began..
