if they do not raise, the market will fear the double dip

If the consumer didn't put the plastic away after 9/11 and 6% unemployment and rising, I would have to be doubtful that they will ever dissapoint in a big way.
He thinks that housing appreciation is not an issue because of 6-8% comissions. As long as real estate doesn't become like online stock trading, Greenie will let housing rise on low mortgage rates.
The only way he raises rates is like he did in 99 if market starts to get bubbly without strong non-proforma boosted earnings with hints of wage or producer price pressure.
