Speaking of balance, debt, deflation and devaluation, I like the linked article because it tries to model the complexity of the real economy.

Most economist leave both time and debt out of their equations. As investors, we are acutely aware of the time value of money. Money tomorrow does not have the same value as money today in the real world.
