I am confused. I have never heard of anyone talking about moral equivalency of nations but rather moral equivalency of specific actions.

That's what I meant. But if you extend it, some nations stand, promote, sponsor certain actions, so you can extend the definition to nations.

If I recall it correctly the most recent remarks in the media about moral equivalency was about israel military defending the nation and terrorists blowing up civilian women and children. If I recall it correctly the moral equivalency is basically calling Israel as a terrorist nation and extremely pro-palestinian.
am I wrong?
