I have never really gotten into James, haven't touched him since college. Should I? And if so, where does one start?

I'm surprised to find Austen and Trollope missing from your list. Both, for me, very informative of human behaviors. More so than Fielding, who I find a bit shallow. If you haven't read Trollope's "The Way We Live Now" you should. Astonishing book, could have been written yesterday.
