HPAQ's channel blueprint

May 14, 2002 (ITNews.com.au - ABIX via COMTEX) -- Hewlett-Packard (HP) will
remodel its relationship with resellers in Australia under a Transition
Assistance Program (TAP). The aim of the program is to undermine the position of
HP's competitor, Dell. Distributors and resellers will be able to communicate
with the company via a single point of contact in form of a channel management
team. Tony Bill, general manager of HP Australia's Personal Systems Group, said
that a large investment will be made in face-to-face and web-based training
under the TAP program.
