Mucho: OT: ...i tend to agree with Abelson on the recent violent rallies being of the "Get Shorty" variety... I hope you're not a die hard fan of Abelson, 'cause if you are, I'll be forced to read your posts with a more jaundiced eye than I have been. At one point (maybe 5-6 years ago) I used to enjoy Abelson's caustic writing style, and even had a subscription to Barron's for a few years until sometime in 1998. But Abelson's constant negativity towards the markets in general and all things technology related in particular eventually got to me. The final straw was his incestuous relationship with one Doug Kass, short seller and hedge fund manager, who managed to get his stock specific views printed in Abelson's column with surprising regularity, and presumably profited nicely from having such a widely read public mouthpiece. I hope the current analyst bashing witch hunt spreads to include scalping relationships of the Abelson/Kass variety. What a revelation that would be. David T.
