The Russians convert this weapons grade uranium into a material that is "safe" (what ever that means), is shipped to the states, and stored at USU facilities. This material is not converted to reactor-grade material until need by the navy or a nuclear power plant. I am not worried about stock-piles since the nuclear power plant business is an expanding business. Last years annual report give a good insight to the number of nuclear power plants that are under construction around the world. In my opinion our press does a poor job of educating the public on this industry.
