<< You mean to tell me that MOST tech stocks today are high dividend paying >>

I said nothing about dividends. Obviously very few tech companies offer dividends. Dividends are a sign that a company is mature and sees little growth in their future. A company that is positioning itself for maximum growth in an expanding market should NOT offer dividends. That is the case for nearly every tech company.

They invest in R&D and expansion in order to maximize the return to the investor over the long run.

IMO,
Dave

I did not say they are high dividend paying. To the contrary. The perception of wealth comes from the bidding up. It is a game. First in and out before the game ends.

Games:

DSL done. Wireless cooked. Software hammered. (stocks may look cheap if in single digits..but keep in mind the numerous splits along the way a.k.a. distribution). Networking and optical..anyone need the capacity? (when they keep reinventing to compress higher and higher throughput in single strands and consequently are continually making themselves obsolete)

Some games go on for longer. e.g. the semis. Without them it would be curtains.
