You have the right approach.

This is not a game in which every tech stock is an empty bag looking for a holder. There are tech stocks (many of them) that will be 1000% higher over the next 15 years. Many will increase in value (from today's prices) much faster than that. Many will go bankrupt, but many will have $billions in revenue when today their revenue is only in the $millions. They are there for the taking. You just have to find them.
