Most of SI is populated with guys like him. They last about 5 years max. By then they've been to the cleaners enough to realize that this isn't their bag.

Then there's the die hards. They never get to the point where they realize that one has to hold when surrounded with superficial negatives.

Risk must be taken. Traders try to avoid risk. Fear of loss makes the intrinsic negative expected return of trading even worse.

Hope you don't keep yourself so scarce. You're sorely needed to revive this thread. Maybe you can give us your insight about the gravity of Carter's communism.

Yea, and you forgot to mention he became EXTREMELY bearish in April 2000.

So how do you like them apples? Extremely bullish from Oct 99 to March 2000 and then very bearish from April 2000 to Present?

You also forgot to mention that he became extremely bullish on gold last spring.

Sounds like a pretty good track record to me.
