Limtex, you still have to explain to me what is "normal" with the S&P 500 selling (depending on accounting) at a PE of between 22 and 30. By all historical standards, this is an anomaly. So are short term interest rates that equal inflation.

If one of the hedge funds collapses in a sustained rally
Surely you jest. NAz is down 12% for year and we haven't had more then a 2 day rally in 8 weeks. Just because we are flat for 2 weeks with lots of winners and losers with the volatility surely doesn't signal a end to what ails this economy and market.
