They turned it down and resorted to terrorism, because Arafat knew that America was going to be attacked, and figured that he would be able to destroy Israel after America was crippled by a terrorist attack. Of this I am sure of. Do you really think that the Palestinians will cease their acts of terrorism just because they get total control over their territory?
