your post supports my view expressed a couple days ago.http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=17456355&s=estate
Regards Real Estate being at top , as i say in post i think it has some play it, but toppy for sure.
But on reading a demographic study regards the Boomers the sector of 2nd homes/retirement homes , that sector of real estate should remain strong for a long time yet as that is next wave on the Boomers shopping list(but sorry Boomers immortality will not be available on your shopping list:)
Also the studies are showing an increase in 2nd/retirement homes to the north and a decrease to the sunbelt.
I am selling now, though i think my property would double or more in 8-10 years(2ndhome/retirement home zone)<it's now 1,500 times above it's purchase price>.
Reason in 10 years i will be 71, so why wait.
But if someone is looking for land that will at least double in 10 years, prime water front on what is called the Peninsula in Hancock County Maine is an area where buyers out number sellers by a significant margin and will just get more so in years to come.
