Jimmy Carter is a total embarrassment to this country. Unfortunately, his behavior exemplifies precisely what is wrong with liberalism. Carter seems to think you can cut a deal with anyone, no matter how big a liar, how corrupt, or how undesirable they are. This is sheerly a liberal tendency, to try to negotiate with sleeze rather than to hold the sleeze accountable. Not only was he one of the worst presidents in recent history (excepting, of course, the King of Corruption and the Father of the Vietnam War), he continues to make a fool of himself as time rolls on. It is time for Carter and Clinton to show the kind of professionalism and restraint we've seen from George Bush I.
