***Da Lat Water Project****

To everyone out there that helped us with this project in Vietnam, I have great news. After a long period of looking like it was going to be next to impossible to get our well project approved by the local authorities, we got approval a couple of weeks ago. They began drilling the first well on May 11th, it will be approximately 100 meters in depth, and should be completed in the next two weeks. After the completion of the first well, we will begin a second well at the other end of the village.

Thanks again to everyone that has helped us out, you have helped to make a huge improvement in over 400 peoples lives.

Anyone wishing to continue helping with our well projects may donate at:

notes from Newmont Gold CEO interview on CNBC (brief)

Murdy said 3 big forces at work to keep GOLD price rising
- Japanese citizens buying in large quantities
- unwinding of forward hedging by mining firms
- reduced supply dynamics from chronic low price

CNBC asked two questions that indicated they dont attach much credibility to the recent GOLD runup

when asked if Central Bank continued selling would bring the GOLD price back down, he said GOLD is the best store of value, and worldwide investors are embracing it as the USdollar is declining in value

when asked if easing world tensions would bring the GOLD price back down, he said Newmont would continue to avoid all forward hedging and would continue to develop its numerous properties

not much detail, but a good look at the guy
CNBC might not be nixing the gold validity
perhaps they wanted to give the negative side and seek response
