Markets tend to look for a reason to sell in these trepid times. CPI slightly bearish, will give them that. Closing all LONGs pre-mkt....

CPI up 0.5%; core up 0.3%; slightly higher than expected
Both the total and core CPI indexes were a tenth above the consensus estimates, but in light of a long string of benign inflation numbers, this slight miss should not have any significant impact. S&P futures dipped about a point on the news; Nasdaq futures about 3 pts. Separately, business inventories fell 0.3% in March, a bit weaker than expected but of little consequence.

(get to play it long and short it again !)

let's see what IBM has to say later besides the 8,000 job cuts made official....

lot of dips this am , DELL can't be too surprising tommorrow , but should complete the picture.

Let's see BRCD is set to report tonight right ? Oh they did already ;-)

AMAT being stubborn , was hoping to get it to dip under $27 at least !
