I hate to nit-pick, but... conscious = awareness of environment, sensations, self, etc. conscience = moral urge to prefer right over wrong. It changes the whole meaning of your post. :)

<Edit> God must be supreme in order to be God. He must be perfect in all His attributes in order to be God and worthy of worship. This perfect God made us in His image. We are born with a conscience that tells us right and wrong. We rebel against our conscience. We cannot say we are innocent for we know what it is we do. The more we rebel against our conscience the more desensitized we become until we eventually turn into sociopaths with no conscience at all.
