That may well be the case. I've yet to notice her doing so, although I don't watch closely enough to know that she hasn't. I imagine that her gushiness has something to do with my perception, as well. I recall an incident that occurred when I was newly married and talking about my husband with one of his colleagues. I must have been laying it on pretty thick because he snapped at me "oh, so his shit don't stink," which was not an expression for which my delicate sensibilities were prepared. That's why I remember it so clearly, I guess. As the point applies to columnists, I guess I just feel more comfortable with those who throw in an occasional "on the other hand" or "while such and such may occur."

It's interesting that some of the most partisan people are converts from their former belief system.

True. That's apparent by how may of the non-religious around here are recovering Catholics. <g>
