Thanks Mike, I find much of the criticism on both sides to be rather careless. At this point in time, I think that all of us (believers in Democracy) should be particularly mindful of the fact that we are threatened by a common enemy. Thoughtless bickering among ourselves only weakens us, and strengthens them. From reading about the TV interviews in America it seems clear that they are using a divide and conquer strategy, with a disturbing amount of success. The willingness of the mainstream media to selectively participate in aiding the enemy is also quite troubling.
