<b is your total lack of understanding of even the most rudimentary concepts of modern finance. If understanding monetary theory is a cospiracy then we are in very sad shape. I think the real problem lies with your complete lack of ability to comprehen what we are talking about. Maybe you should ask your mother about that. This comment of yours clearly applies more to you, than it does to me.

I am totally confused by Newmont's numbers because I am trying to get production numbers for my spreadsheet. Last year NEM did 1.39moz and NDY did .557moz, so I was expecting to see a production number close to 2moz (not 1.46moz as reported) It almost looks like they forgot to add Normandy ?? Cash cost went up from $167 to $191 Total costs went up from $220 to $262 (yikes !!) Sales price went up from $264 to $291 Gross margin went down from $44 to $31 I was expecting better.
