You ducked my question, but I'll answer yours anyway. Yes, freedom/democracy/citizenship carries a price tag. And the good citizen carries his burden of that price tag by paying his taxes, even though some including me contend that the burden we are asked to share contains a disproportionate expense for areas for which the Federal, and sometimes the state, governments were never intended to intrude upon. That means paying the tax you are legally obligated to pay, and not one nickel more.
