I assume you know that Pakistan was part of India but partitioned off as a last act of defiance by Briton when ending their occupation and inslavement of those folks.

Gandhi considered himself a man of all religions and would read the bible, the torah, the koran regularly and quote from them.

JHP, Hawaii60 is correct. Gandhi is called Mahatma which in Indian means "the great soul". President Reagan referred to him as "the greatest human being this century to have walked the Earth". He was a Hindu. He was assasinated by a fellow Hindu just like Rabin was assasinated by a fellow Jew. Gandhi was assasinated because he preached non-violence and harmony amongst all religions. He used his charisma to marry couples of cross faiths and inter-races. His power was so strong that only a assasin could stop that. There are crazy Hindus similar to there being crazy Jews. Read this as a support of what I said
