You must have been an exception to the rule. I see no numeracy lessons and certainly no lessons concerning compound interest being drilled into young heads by schools here. I doubt that the average American teenager has a clue as to what compound interest means or its ramifications for his future well being.

My kiddo is 5-years old and I therefore have a tabula rasa to write upon. He'll learn.
