you could say the same thing about, say, gravity.

imo human nature is as immutable as gravity and while we should always strive for better it would be foolish to ignore that fact that, basically, we really aren't all that "noble".

there will always be crooks, and they will always be over-represented in the corridors of power. whatever the system.

O.T., Monty, unfortunately, our good working people always become bait for crooks in this system. But, one thing to bear in mind is that crooks also need to perform and if they don't, they loose huge. And, our good people should also learn how to deal with crooks.

Let's not forget our history that has shown to us over and over that how eventually empires/systems come down once they fail having trust of good working people.
