Is anyone catching these falling knives on GFI and HGMCY

since my highest price is about 40% lower, this setback doesn't bother me. I was thinking about buying a little more NEM though.

Hi Joan. I traded some GFI for some HGMCY yesterday. May add a bit more HGMCY tomorrow. I like it now a little more than GFI, which I think has run a bit on takeover speculation. Longer term, they're both good companies, it's more of a valuation call. Anywhere around HUI 110-111, most of the miners can be accumulated, IMO. Also nice to see the POG hold up well today...looks like support at 307 is pretty solid.

I bought bought back a small piece of HGMCY yesterday that I sold on Monday (wish I had sold more on Monday), but I wouldn't be surprised if it went down into the thirteens.

I must look up some chartist TA type and get a comment on this:

quote.yahoo.com

It does seem reasonable to me that if USU traded as high as 10.95 in the last 52 weeks, a manic move like this ought to carry it back at least to that high.

There was discussion of USU options in the WSJ options column this morning. Itseems the calls are carrying huge premiums. I haven't ever sold covered calls before, but maybe that might be worth looking into.
