Under some circumstances, parts of software license also go into deferred revenues, particularly when the license is a single lump sum payment and the life of the license is longer than the reporting period. In any event, getting paid and not recognizing such payments immediately as revenues (but as liabilities) is more 'conservative" than recognizing such payments as revenues. In the case, the deferred revenues grew by about $4 MM in the last six months, and thus for the last two quaters the top line might have been "hit" by those $4 MM (g).
