I've been watching too. Yesterday Bloomberg had a news story from the Sacramento Bee newspaper. It stated that the contract for the installation and integration of the bomb detectors from InVision and L-3 could be a $2 billion contract. Boeing,Raytheon,TRW and Lockheed named as leading contenders.

Story claimed that error rate is running as high as 35% and government wants to get that down. Simple items such as a candy bar or a magazine can cause an alert because of their density. Detectors work by comparing known densities of explosives.

I would not be surprised if a contract like this is announced on a weekend.
