I was having an awful time figuring their production numbers, since they only included six (6) weeks of Normandy, and reported Newmont only numbers for Q1-01. The figures are not at all comparable, and I wish they would consolidate all historical data. My calculations tell me that Newmont really produced 1.7moz in Q1-02 versus 1.98 in Q1-01, which would correctly reflect drops in production at Nevada ops and Superpit.

Claim what he will but it is not true, as 7.3moz clearly shows. (that's a lot of wiggle room)
