you are parroting adam smith, who also said that capital expended in foreign trade was only half as productive as capital expended at home. lincoln called this "useless labor" and "idleness" and predicted that it would cause "want and ruin among our people".

more americans work in government than in manufacturing! i guess "free trade" isn't so free after all!

since labor is a large component in industries like steel, paying your workers less than americans makes you more efficient, not less, because labor is a factor of production.
