I don't speak for (or against) the Pope. I knew about pedophile priests many years ago, since it has been widely publicised in the mainstream press. I also heard first hand from boys when I was a teenager that they had been molested or knew of such things via church sponsored youth groups (Protestant and Catholic). Even broader and more prevelant are accounts of female participants having been compromised sexually by religious authorities. I don't really know what to make of it all except to take a conscientous position against it, and encourage change.
