well, we've been in a corporate recession

i wouldn't be shocked to see margins start to improve (and of course revs) as economy improves (you rarely fire enuf people when times are bad to offset rev loss)

their main concern right now is to steal market share (esp with HP/Compaq turmoil)

Right. When automobiles were invented, I'm sure the last, best buggywhip maker "took market share" from the competition, too...until there were no competitors, and eventually no market.

DELL is the NEW best buggywhip maker in the whole, wide world. And a well-managed buggywhip maker at that.<G>

It's not a growth industry any more -- it has matured -- end of story

Ever get a Dell catalog? It's like an electronics catalog. They're selling more and more junk. Maybe they should merge with AMZN.
