of course, he still has that 400M debt load. how does an individual handle that? that's the story i'm waiting to hear.

The $1.5 million per year is peanuts compared to the $400 million loan. The $1.5 million per year stops, if he declares bankruptcy or if he doesn't keep up with the loan repayment schedule. It was a sweetener to get him to pay back the loan.
