The numbers while excellent in terms of the ratio are still low in comparison to previous cycles in actual amounts. As far as the early report I would tend to concur with you in that they are usually released around the 20th or later. They may have been released early in order to help alleviate concerns that orders might be falling due to declining DRAM prices among other things. All in all the numbers were better than I expected. Unfortunately the market appears to have only a couple more up days left in this current rally in my opinion. Note that the VIX is thinking about turning higher and that the SOX rally has not made much of a move higher. finance.yahoo.com RtS
